Enrol With Us
Now offering Prep to Year TwelveThe College has a proud history of participation in a wide variety of school sports.
Sport is an important part of education as it promotes an active lifestyle, develops teamwork and emphasises the importance of the persistence and training required to do your best.
Our students enjoy and benefit from having access to extensive college grounds, abundant sporting fields, fully enclosed multi-purpose facilities, and a gym. We aim to ensure that, through regular and enjoyable involvement in physical activities, our students will develop skills and attitudes that will lead to lifelong participation in healthy recreational activities and lifestyles.
Students are assigned to one of five Pastoral house teams: Castle (Red), Elliot (Blue), Stuart (Green), Louisa (Purple) or Hervey (Gold). Enthusiasm and team spirit are evident in the inter-house sporting events where all students participate in friendly and inclusive swimming, cross country and athletics competitions.
The College enjoys healthy sports competition with other schools through Inter-school athletics, swimming and cross country carnivals and has established competitive sporting teams through the establishment of our sports specific programs (Cricket, Netball, Rugby League, Basketball, Touch Football, Australian Rules Football, and Soccer).
Our Netball and Rugby League teams have enjoyed invitations to QISSN and Confraternity Carnivals in recent years. Our Basketball teams have also maintained their position in the Championship Basketball Schools of Queensland Competition (CBSQ). The College also has an Opens Mixed Touch Football team that compete annually at the QLD All Schools Touch Football Competition. Our Cricket program also has an International trip along with their own respective regional carnivals. Soccer and AFL are both also highly competitive in their respective competitions throughout the region. The College takes great pride in actively organising and participating in the Bishop Michael Putney Fellowship Shield and the Mary Help Of Christians Shield which is held in conjunction with Queensland Mental Health Week each year.
